Dr. Carol Rosin and the staged aliien invasion theory

According to her wkipedia page, Dr. Carol Rosin has worked with institutions like NASA, IBM, TRW and the last few years when Dr. Wernher von Braun was alived in the 70s. Her most well known theory that she says von Braun told hr was the idea that the American goverment are building space-based weapons that are dangerous, costly and destructive. More information ca be found here: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Carol_Rosin

But anyway, this links to the bigger theme of the idea that UFO sightinggs are actualy created by the military and that one day there will be a faked UFO/Alien invasion. This could be by using things like hollowgraphic technology and is usually associated with the whole NWO cnspiracy theory.

Dr. Carol Rosin hints at this in this video where she discusses the conversations she had with von Braun with his argument that the US govermentt would talk about an alien threat.
    http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=WruCxsh8mfw

And the idea is posted all over the Internet:

Worth noting that it is obvious from the style of this page that it was written by her, so not exactly objective. I would guess that this is copy-pasted from her bio she uses for selling her books and her time for public speaking engagements. Relevance of that? It is how she makes money. Does that mean anything she says should be ignored? No. But if she is clearly talking about extraordinary claims, then one might question her objectivity ("No, there is no conspiracy but would you like to pay me to talk about it anyway...").

Well, if the graphics are hollow we don't have much to worry about.

Even Wikipedia itself notes "This biographical article is written like a résumé. Please help improve it by revising it to be neutral and encyclopedic. (January 2011)" so lets take all this with a pinch of salt.

The "false flag UFO attack" crowd tends to be from the nuttier end of the UFO nutters... In fact, some of them aren't even UFO proponents in the conventional sense at all but instead Xtian NWO CTists who think UFOs and aliens are part of a Satanic plot to destroy humanity! Itz teh Apocaplyse!1!!11!!

Apparently Rosin claims to have met an alien so she more @ "friendly aliens being framed by evil NWO" I would think.

So. Aside of Dr. Rosin's sayso, what is the main evidence (available outside of U-t00b) that such an operation is being planned?

From whatI understad its just from peple like Rosin, which adds moe fuel to the fire with the institutions and the people she worked with

So we are supposed to believe what Dr. Rosin says because she's a doctor and has worked in "high places", no? Or not believe as the case may be. I'm not sure how much more can be said about this - I don't know if we can for example in any way verify or refute what she has or has not talked about with von Braun. And frankly I don't think we'll find any hard evidence for a false flag "UFO attack" operation being prepared either, while evidence against would be almost impossible to procure.

Although it's worth noting that her doctorate is honorary and it's not in a scientific field.

So? aren't they? Why is this such a "revolutionary" concept.

She, herself, mentioned that Von Braun was laughing when he said it.
Politicians and safety forces have mentioned alien attacks before as a means for creating practice exercises so they can create new and unusual circumstances.
Von Braun was also a dreamer. So; I don't doubt he had these "visions" of cooperation and fear and other things she repeated.

She seems to have a way of twisting actual facts into some kind of conspiracies. Most of the timelines she mentioned have already been underway. Even if it was before 9/11, the signs of a terrorist threat from the middle east were already there.

We know about the space threat from the Russians, we know we had space based weapons research long before SDI. None of this was secret to the point of conspiracy.

So why can we expect they can keep a lid on ET?

I couldn't figure out what the aim of your last thread was. I viewed it as the military has some secrets that people occasionally glimpse. And my opinion was so what, there's been a long history of that with no ill effects.

Now I see that you are talking about a new world order. If the United Nations, NATO, Eurozone, and other multi-national organizations have a hard time keeping even some mundane issues quiet, then how can a world wide organization possibly keep something of this scale a secret?

    From wikipedia article:
She received a Bachelor of Science from the University of Delaware and an Honorary Doctorate in Humanities from Archbishop Soloman Gbadebo, Nigeria.
I would go as far as to say it is misleading to call her Dr. Rosin.

So; did she get that by giving somebody her checking account information?
Maybe the lack of getting that big windfall is what makes her think that it's a multi-national issue.

I agree. Many "alternative" thinkers seem to have a failed background in a legitimate field, or quite clearly aspire to it an for whatever reason couldn't make the grade. This may explain why they seem more motivated by trashing the mainstream than by proposing any viable alternative.

So you're saying that there is no evidence for Rosin's claims? Without evidence, why should anyone care what she says?

Aliensdidit, do you ever do any fact checking on these claims you link to?

Exactly right - here in Brisbane we've just had zombie attacks (though they still walked through the streets)

Well, at least Finland's very own Rauni-Leena Luukanen-Kilde is a real doctor. Of medicine. It gives her the expertise to evaluate claims about CIA's mind control rays, tracking microchips and secret Moon bases. Plus of course she has also seen them as she has travelled to them via astral projection. She has also seen the Big Bang. With statements from experts like these, I wonder how anyone can remain a skeptic.

Agreed. And one could even question the benefit or purpose of posting so many threads on BAUT about them. The practice could almost be likened to spamming.

I must admit I fell into a similar trap when I was younger believing that all those cheap UFO paperbacks and mass publications by van Daniken and his ilk must have some validity to have gotten into print. It wasn't until later that I realized that if you can get a publisher convinced that it'll return money it didn't matter too much how slipshod or non-existant the research was. As long as it fired the imaginations of the gullible and opened their wallets.

In the age of the interent, with no middleman to worry about at all....almost anyone can play the authority without portfolio.

It can be very hard for an ordinary, decent person to really grasp that there are people who just out and out lie. Plus, there are people so mentally disturbed that they don't even know they're lying.

And, much as I love the Internet, it's made it easier for both types of people to find a large audience.

Understandable. But; think of this. If there was any controversy or evidence of conspiracy, the mainstream media would be all over it. (and note that I said mainstream media. Other outlets seem to grasp on to whatever garbage they can)
So; Naive is one thing, and the curious mind should be an advantage that allows you to research all sides of the story and find the possible explainations.

It depends on who the doctorate is from and where the publishing is done.

I seewhat you mean. Its just that I hav realized how deep the rabbit hole goes when it cmes to the Internet. Before July I was aware o the whole gobal conspiracy theories, but recntly I stumbld aponnew thingsthat twisted my logic on how pple use the Internett when creating webpages and putting ideas.

For example, going back to this quote

I came across thiswebpage where I think its climing that its the actual Iluminati that conspiracy theriost dread. http://www.facebook.com/pages/Bavari...986667?sk=wall That goes heavly into the whole idea of a fake alien invasion and something called Project Bluebeam, whatever that is. And this is only the tip of the iceberg.

I was a UFO believer too until my late teens when I started to embark on my life's profession. Over the next few years, as I learned effective techniques of investigation and inquiry, I came to realize how misguided and deluded many UFO fanatics, and frankly how downright dishonest many of the so-called researchers are.

Curiosity is not a disadvantage if one is willing to let certain questions remain unanswered until defensible answers present themselves. The danger in curiosity is where we demand an answer at all costs. This leads us to accept propositions for which there is really no suitable evidence. Many in the UFO community want there to be an answer for some of the reported anecdotes, and they lower their standards of proof to accept the proposition that excites them.

An honorary doctorate is awarded by an educational institution for the recipient's achievements and recognition elsewhere. It doesn't represent the same credential as an academic doctorate, which is granted on the basis of the recipient's demonstrated expertise and judgment in the applicable field. Because of this, it is considered highly pretentious in the United States for the holder of an honorary doctorate to use the Doctor title.

Also, some schools are considered "diploma mills." These schools award you a degree simply if you pay their fee. They do not test applicants' knowledge in any way. Since such a practice dilutes the value of a legitimate degree, the practice is outlawed in most civilized countries.

Normally to receive a legitimate doctoral degree, one must first complete an undergraduate bachelor's degree at a real university, and often also a Master's degree. One must then pass additional course work, and oral examinations -- half a dozen or so hour-long sessions in which two or more members of the faculty grill the candidate on his overall knowledge of the field. Then, most importantly, the candidate must propose, conduct, and defend a program of original research under the supervision of three or so faculty members, and write a report on it. This report, or "dissertation," must be defended by oral exam for its correctness, originality, and applicability to the field, against the questions from the entire faculty and student body. When that research is received and published, he can then be granted a doctoral degree.

Carol Rosin has not satisfied those criteria and is not entitled to be addressed as "doctor." Nor, it seems, can she substantiate any of the other claims to her expertise. As you grow older, you will learn to distinguish such pretenders from the real experts.
