I have full journal accesses to most astronomic papers and a lot of Shigeru Ida's and Doug Lin's publications are in my database, if you can specifiy the paper I'll do a more thorough inspection, but I didn't see anything like what you are describing in the series of Ida papers we've discussed in thread so far ("Deterministic Model of Planetary Formation." I, II, or III.).The "Ida" paper, I'm having a spot of trouble finding that, can't seem to find it on Google Scholar currently. I have a paper copy somewhere, I will have to try and dig that out so I can find the online version for you.
