I am in my 30's.ops: Best to give your age range when replying, otherwise, the thread will die. And no fibbing! :^o
I'm 17. Hmm, not sure what to say. 8-[
I assume you mean the age of the members, not the board itself.
I'm 29, finally finshing up my math degree. Going into actuarial science (setting insurance rates), but I find astronomy to be a lot more fun. I used to work as a machinist, but eventually grew bored with it.
I've lurked for a while and have learned a lot from the people here. What are other member's backgrounds? Just curious.
What do if you're 20? You're too old for the first option and too young for the second.
Or what if you're 35? Do you pick the second or the third one?
And 50 has the same problem that 20 has!
:P
22, by the way.
Bummer, it won't let me edit it now. I suppose you can treat it like a leap year. :-k Perhaps, you should start a new thread with the correct age options. It would make things more accurate. 8-[ [edit due to stupidity]Originally Posted by Lycus

You bunch of young whippersnappers! :-?
I'm actually following a somewhat similar path, at 27 I'm getting ready to enter a Chemical Engineering program, once I finish three more classes. Differential Equations, Physics I and Physics II. Glad to see someone else out there in my age range trying to get out of the rut of mundane jobs. I work in retail management...yuck!Originally Posted by Syzygy

Ironic that this one follows a post by milli360, isn't it? :wink:Originally Posted by cyswxman
Wonder why posts about gender and age come up so frequently around here. What's an old woman to think?
Unless you're posting at the exact moment you turn 35, it's not a problem.Originally Posted by Lycus

I debated this. Last May, he was 4 years from the last day that he was 20, and 5 years from the first day that he will be thirty. That's why I went with December. You seem to be looking at it as 5 years since he turned 20. So, the distinction hinges on how "close to 20" is measured.Originally Posted by SeanF
But, yeah, either way, it didn't happen last month.
They say life begins at 40. I´m a little baby now.
