How can it be wrong? Who is claiming that it is wrong? The mods are clear that depending on the person the rules are different. Some peoples threads will get locked others may not others may get suspended and others may get banned and others may get backed by the mods themselves for exactly the same action. This is not under dispute.
Yeah I am OK with all of this. I dont have a problem. But just wanted to point out that there are different rules for different people. If someone hijacks my thread ... it will get closed ... not because of anything I did but because there are different rules for me than there are for others. It is not a toleration level ... it is just that the rules are different for different people and I am fine with that ... it is your board you can manage it the way you like. I am just pointing it out.
Wrong, wrong, and wrong again. Everyone gets a different amount of play within the same rules. It's not as though anyone can get away with a lot of the basics--if I register a sock puppet, it and I will both get banned, just the same as anyone else. However, I can probably get away with being slightly more rude than certain people because I have developed a reputation for staying away from the line. People who play with fire will eventually get burned. People who only strike a single match from time to time probably won't.

It is absolutely a toleration level. And this persistent little selective hearing problem of yours has burnt up every last bit of the considerable tolerance you used to enjoy. All of it. To fine particles of what used to be ash.
So yes, you go right on telling yourself everything's fine on your end. Make no adjustments to your behavior. I'm sure that'll learn us.
You keep saying it, you keep failing to back up you claim. There is one set of rules and a subset of board members who think they should be exempt from them, or can cleverly game their way around them, and then throw tantrums when it turns out they were wrong. Really how many times are you going to bring this up before you accept that the rules are not going to be rewritten to comply with your version of acceptable conduct?
It's the same in every aspect of life. The police will treat a first time offender more leniently, within the law, than a habitual criminal. Your boss at work will cut the guy who goes sick once a year more slack than the one gets a bad back every time there's a football game.
It it wasn't for the near-certainty that it would spawn another complaint thread I'd suggest closing the thread.
It's clear that everyone's already said what they have to say, often several times, and it's not going to do any good or change anyone's opinions anyway.

Nah, that's a good point. This thread, like most of the others, isn't going anywhere. Closed.
