A small moon of Vesta has been found. Named
Pantsa by the imaging team. The system looks
to be the guiding light of Ventriloquists.
    "no it isn't"
    "'tis too!"
    "I tell you it isn't"
"in space I cannot throw my voice!"
    "......."

This comes as no surprise to Italians, who have always maintained that Vesta was a misspelled Vespa. And Italian street are periodically treated to humanoid shaped and sized objects flying into orbit around Vespas when encountering potholes. Or a well placed brick.

Ventriloquism? Oh, it stems from the urge to hoist an Italian tenor and his voice over the balcony. "Lanciare la voce", they call it.

Dog breeders have recently developed a new breed, the German Short-haired Pointless. The breed wanders aimlessly looking for waterfowl, but never finds any.

Dogs can actually breathe underwater. They only pretend not do, to avoid becoming fishing dogs.

Dalmations can be taught to swim backstroke but tend to bang their heads on obstacles. However it does stop them trying to catch fish as they swim.

The spots are good camouflage against attack by giant squids.

Not only that, they also communicate underwater by changing the colour bands on their spots. Researchers have observed and noted that black is neutral; slightly grey could be, 'you zig, I'll zag'; slightly brown is more of, 'you zag, 'I'll zig'. But more studies are called for since these observations are solely based on introduction of a giant squid in the tank.

The old joke about adding six squid to a dalmation swim train tank is not relevant here.

Ancient Romans were required to have a storehouse and a silo by the time they turned 16. This was to stock at least one item of whatever stuff then available.
This was because they didn't have 'Zero' in their numeral system. And so, rather than be embarrassed by a loss of words, it was preferable to say, 'I have only one of those'.

The black dalmations with white spots are antimatter: if they touch a white dalmation with black spots, they annihilate in a burst of gamma rays and chihuahuas.

A group of UWD political scientists has published a mathematical solution to government. Their equation of state is perfectly accurate in the limit of zero population.

several studies confirm that zero population solves all problems and in fact is a singularity being the only complete solution.
