    You are all equally weird.
I wish I knew all those years ago that simply joining this board and proclaiming myself to be rational would magically transform my uninformed opinions into science; it would have saved me a lot of time and effort.

BAUT makes my life better, and is not at all some kind of perverse obsession.

It was called a "sounding" rocket because of the fizzy sound it made upon lift-off.

That loud "boom" outside a few minutes ago is probably nothing to worry about.

If someone at BAUT posts about what it means to be "random", you can rely on their characterisation to be correct.

Deterministic is not a special case of random.

Many people think Shakespeare was a vulgar nickname for a group of monkeys dressed in livery in Elizabeth's court and trained to use quills, but of course they are confused with Sir Random Drake who invented the pipe, corn flakes and singeing, and wrote sonnets to amuse his many admirers. His greatest achievement was the "random pentameter" later used to compose the American constitution.

I belong to the random walk society but meetings are so unpredictable. We choose dates by flies landing on a calender and destinations by hail falling on a map, and often in consequence arrive before we set off, I am beginning to think there is a pattern here, so I'll toss another coin and perhaps resign.

Because of pagan and erotic affiliations, the existence of the transit of Venus is being denied by fundamentalist groups.

The transit of Venus occurs when the planet Venus passes directly through the opening at the top of the Shanghai World Financial Centre.

The transit of Venus is also being boycotted by Jupiter...who, as usual, as this system's largest planet, is jealous of the attention.
