This is Mortimer Schnedecker reporting for CNN from the Fenwick fief of the Martian Marsh, that the water rights and technology trade between the Earl and the Martians was peacefully resolved by gold for water and a working copy of the force field generator (copied from one of the original landing craft of the alien invasion of Fenwick) for a Martian stasis field machine.

Today, the Duchy of Fenwick was the epicenter of a 6.0 Richter earthquake one mile deep; the castle's megalithic walls withstood the 'quake with no damage; however, in the castle plaza, the ten foot (3m) statue of the Duke was toppled from its pedestal and landed on its head, with its feet against the pedestal, holding it vertical.
