This is absolutely not a continuation of any previous thread on Untrue Facts! (!!!), what could possibly give you that idea?

Untrue is a portmanteau of underpants and truancy, thus all truly untrue facts must be about missing underpants, or by extension, commando activities.

Contrary to public opinion, Spoons did invent underpants. And going commando.

The term "going commando" dates back to World War One, where a unit nicknamed Command "O" due to the large number of Irish-Americans (O'Shaunessy alone accounted for fully half the troops' surnames) in its ranks was issued by mistake ladies' undergarments rather than mens', and who in protest refused to wear them.

The common swallow (Hirundo Cocos) is almost worldwide in migration; a species, called the common swallow carries a large nut from Africa to Europe in its migration.

And to return the favor, six months later the nut carries the swallow back from Europe to Africa.

During the Crusades, the common swallow was considered a divine bird, as it produced the only means for knights to be transported.

Giacomo Casanova was briefly wed to Marilyn Monroe, in 1758. April 14th, to be exact.

    They had no children.

The verbs "to wed" and "to weld" have the same Latin root.

Grecian formula 16 can be used to touch up your Latin roots.

And Babylonian Formula 1 can be used to vtouch up your Greek roots.

An ingratiating whine can be used to touch up your relatives.

The "Take an Untrue Fact (!!!)" thread is now wearing a seat belt.

Why aren't all threads required to have one?

These products were originally called "Purchase 'Em at the Store, Take 'Em out of the Box, Toast 'Em, and Eat 'Em". Though the name made the Legal Department very happy, marketing trials were rather disappointing.

More importantly, why isn't this thread still in a booster? State and federal laws are quite clear that forum threads remain in boosters until at least 500 posts are made. Actually, in California, threads must stay in boosters until the 1000 post mark.

Yeast gets infected mostly via unwashed mixing bowls.

Now that we have once again reached 5000 posts, I am forced to close this thread, but a new one has been created here.

Annie Jacobsen's new book about Area 51 is part of a vast conspiracy to make alien visitation seem more plausible.
