    And the unfortunate fact that http://www.hqhrt.com/ shows an Apache test page makes it rather unlikely to be legit, though it's stuffed in there as if it was a tracking/statistics gathering link.
    Code:
    <div id="footer_copyright" class="shade footer_copyright">

    That said, it loads faster for me than the other images which may be related to the IP being in Sweden.
    The thing I see loading slowest is the Skype presence icon next to IsaacKuo's avatar which took 24 seconds to load.
    I spot-checked other vBulletin sites. Some of them have it, and some of them don't. I can't find any official discussion on the vBulletin forums about it. I'm going to try to get Fraser's attention and have him look into it.

    Before you posted that I did a brief Google of hqhrt.com,
    and one site said it was in the Netherlands.

    IP series is registered through a Swedish company, I may be wrong about where the server is placed.

    Still, the Netherlands is closer to me than to the US which may account for it slowing down USians but not me.

    Something I've just noticed is that my browser warns me about the certificate right before the page completes loading. Maybe it's something in the Javascript that runs at the end of the page load?

    Is anybody else seeing activity involving hqhrt.com when they load a page from BAUTForum?

    It looks like it's a tracking/statistics link in the footer of all pages which loads a 1x1pixel image without showing it.
    It's likely everyone has activity regarding it but bit everyone will notice.

    {Clarified the quote a little.}

    So my questions to the administrators is this: are you aware of hqhrt.com's presence on your pages, and are they legitimate? If they are legitimate, then I will accept their certificate.

    We're aware of it and trying to work out whether it's legitimate. It appears to be benign for the moment, at least.

    I noticed today that hqhrt.com was not responding, so I tossed these lines into my hosts file:
    Code:
    127.0.0.1       www.hqhrt.com
    127.0.0.1       hqhrt.com
    No more troubles.

    I don't know how to do that.

    What OS (and version) are you using?

    If you're using Windows XP with a standard install, and you have admin rights, try going to the start button, click "run" then enter:

    notepad \windows\system32\drivers\etc\hosts

    and hit return.

    If the file comes up (it might not if you don't have admin rights, or if the OS was installed with something other than the standard "windows" folder name), first save a copy of the file under another name (use file/save as), then add the two lines under "code" in Nowhere Man's post and save the file. If you later have any problems that appear to be related to the edit restore the backup copy.

    Note that you don't need to do this if you aren't having problems, it just redirects references to their site to your own computer, so that site can't track your IP address anymore.

    Now, now, let's stick to issues of operational function and not wander off into membership post content commentary!

    FYI: Today, I am experiencing general slowness on Bautforum. I guess it could be on my end, but I though a heads up post might be helpful if it isn't just me.
