Problem's back. Surely not a coincidence that it happens after NISA's latest declaration. Stupid NISA! Who would employ a small supermarket chain to regulate the nuclear industry anyway?

Having problems today. Pages are failing to load/ loading up blank. I have to hit refresh several times to get something to come up. I try to post, and it comes up to a blank page and when I refresh and then it tells me I can't post a duplicate.
Et tu BAUT? Quantum mutatus ab illo.

I'm having to hit refresh every time I load a page now. I'm relieved to hear it isn't just me -- I was beginning to think BAUT had finally gotten tired of me!

Yes even way down here in the colonies... its slowed somewhat.. It does not always make the connection..

    BUT it's all to be expected.. as I will explain.. { this is not to be taken as fact.}

"As the solar system is drawn to the Black Hole 'Nubaru'... We are eccelorating towards the event horizon..

So as we near velocity c. time is slowing. Thus making this internet connection seem slower is a side effect.

All will be corrected shortly as the 21st of December 2012 approaches.... Mark on a sunny Sunday.

Still getting the occasional hiccup of pages that won't load, refreshing a time or two usually takes care of it.

I was having the "server reset" problem yesterday but seems better today. However, I'm now seeing that the last post in OTB was one of mine from four hours ago. That seems unlikely. Are things not getting updated?

Not sure if this is related, but there has been a problem today with the "Alien life deemed impossible" thread-- it's only displaying up to the last post of yesterday, none of today's posts are showing up.

I notice that changing the number of posts shown per thread in your "general settings" allows the posts to display. But I prefer to set it back to the default (the posts disappear again).

Seems we were part of the Amazon problem.

Interestingly, BAUT seems to have taken much longer than many others, similarly affected, to recover.

However, for me at least, Universe Today is still down.

Very odd to see only 6 people logged in a few minutes ago, but it is up to 14 as I post this. People coming for their fix

I haven't been able to log in for most of the last three days. It has been getting steadily worse over the last week, whatever the issue is.

BAUT is hosted by the Amazon cloud and they have serious problems effecting lots of sites over the past three days so that probably explains the recent slowness, the ongoing problem may also be related depending on how long the stuff that brought the Amazon servers down has been going on, in which case it should be resolved now though only time will tell.

I don't know if anyone else had this, but before about 5 minutes ago, I have not been able to get on BAUT for about an hour - kept getting time-out errors.

I suspect it was just the server decided 'one more post complaining about moderation and I'll quit', so it did.

LOL, while I suspect this wasn't the funniest line in BAUT history, I just couldn't stop laughing. Good one. Garrison.
