Good question, I'd assume there are gravitational effects and I'd have to add another question. Since we now know the universe is expanding in all directions It makes me wonder if it's an equal acceleration in all directions. Has anyone determined that the acceleration is greater in one particular direction? IE maybe part of our universe is getting sucked into another universe?
This is one of those questions that just begs for even more questions like, what would you consider another universe that sets it apart from our own? I guess the answer would have to address the nature of cosmic background radiation.
I envy the dark sky you must have in our area. I've been as far as Meat Cove years back and always wanted to return someday. You can bet I'll have a big telescope to bring with me when I do make the trek.
