The site has a lot of interesting stuff not related to Astronomy but is an interesting and fun read.

On the other hand I did just find this -> Abusing The Kardashev Scale For Fun And Profit

This was originally used in the context of astronomy, speculating about what advanced alien civilizations might look like from afar, particularly the implications of enormous energy demands.

I has a nice little write up on the Kardashev Scale, including mentioning Carl Sagan's revised scale based on a logarithmic formula.
