I hope Robbie makes her a nice dress for her funeral, full of star sapphires.
Ironic that Leslie Nielsen just passed too.
That's two fine performers dead already this year--Pete Postlethwaite died today.

I have the morbid habit of checking the website of a TV station back home every morning under their "Notable Deaths" page. They actually added another one for 2010, but they haven't started up 2011 yet. Given that they do have quite lengthy articles about both Ann Francis and Pete Postlethwaite, I'm surprised.

I think there's not a single onetime preteen male in America, whatever his generation, who at one point did not have a crush on Anne Francis in Forbidden Planet.
I'm really angry that Pete Postlethwaite died; he seemed so unstoppable, and there were so many good roles left for him to play.
I don't think most of the males in my generation have even seen Forbidden Planet. I'm one of the only people in my social circle who has. We do know her from "Double Feature Picture Show," from Rocky Horror, though.

Had one then, still do. The Houston Chronicle ran an article on her with a promo shot of her as Altaira with Robbie. I fell in love with those legs all over again.
Hers, not Robbie's.
She was actually part of the dialogue on an episode of Two and a Half Men. An old man (played by Orson Bean!) was regaling Charlie by listing his past conquests. Loosely,
"I did Anne Francis."
"Who?"
"She played Honey West on television."
"Still can't place her."

She was great in the department store in "The Twilight Zone" . A manequin who gets her turn at life with people and comes back to the store to buy a gold thimble on the floor above all others that doesn't exist.
We shall miss a beautiful woman and a great actress .
Dan
She was also in an episode of Hawaii Five-O called When Does a War End.
