I ask this because recently someone on both Youtube and another space related article mentioned what i'm guessing is this since he said "An Asteroid will crash into Earth that year!"
Any truth to this guy's claim?

What year? And where is this space-related article, please?
NO.
2023 is just it's name ( Asteroid Pallas, for example, is '2' ).
Here : http://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/sbdb.cgi?orb=1;sstr=2023 - you can see its orbit - it comes nowhere near the Earth and has no chance of becoming a threat to the Earth now, or in the future. It spends its entire life outside the orbit of Mars.
Asteroid 2010 Chebyshev - similarly - is not impacting the Earth this year - http://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/sbdb.cgi?orb=1;sstr=2010
Nor Veteraniya next year - http://ssd.jpl.nasa.gov/sbdb.cgi?orb=1;sstr=2011
You can see the pattern, I hope.
I can see the pattern, and your right this guy was crazy, i just needed to check things out.
And naturally we have Asteroid 3142 Kilopi![]()
