    UT Forums?

I notice that the UT forums are very quiet - the introductory blurb to the UT post is put up, but the article usually doesn't actually get discussed there. I think sometimes threads spring up on the Astronomy board, but is there a reason why people don't discuss the articles on the UT threads?

When posts have been added the threads don't seem to ever get off the ground much. Is it just because it's updated so often or something? Or is there a lack of awareness of the boards?

(EDIT - should this go here instead? http://www.bautforum.com/forumdispla...bsite-Feedback )

I think it's because comments here aren't linked to comments on the site, so people who do want to discuss an article do so on the UT site instead.

So how are Universe Today and Bad Astronomy actually linked, if they're really two separate websites (one a forum, the other a news posting service)?

They are linked via this forum. When Phil announced the merger, it was (if I remember right) an opportunity for the BABB to continue but with less time committment (which now has dwindled to NO time) on his part, because he was so busy. It also augmented the both the BA and UT populations with some new blood and fresh ideas. The web sites themselves were always to be considered seperate.

Bad Astronomy isn't a forum. It started out as a regular website, and is now a blog. The old site is still available.

Yes, but that site had it's own bulletin board, which was merged with UT's.

Yup, my reply was to EDG. I'll add the quote to make that more clear.
