Secret Science Ionic Field Propulsion Research -antigravity?

Edited to precise than I have created this new thread because I want than the Electrogravitics forum stay focused on the scientific discussion about the Lifter .

    Thanks!

    Abstract :
<< This paper reviews the development of antigravity research in the US and notes how research activity seemed to disappear by the mid 1950s. It then addresses recently reported scientific findings and witness testimonies - that show us that this research and technology is alive and well and very advanced. The revelations of findings in this area will alter dramatically our 20th century view of physics and technology and must be considered in planning for both energy and transportation needs in the 21st century.>>

Of course as everyone knows anti-gravity machines have been in use for many years now. Since the mid sixties I believe. NASA uses one when sending astronauts into space. It helps them get around those badly designed spacestations more easily. (especially the ISS)
They used one when they did that moon landing hoax thing. It wasn't working to well and was only on half power.

Hollywood used one for that 'Apollo 13' movie a few years back.
In fact Hollywood uses one for all Sci-Fi movies but they also loan one of those anti-anti-gravity devices to make it look like future spaceships have invented some sort of gravity plating or artifical gravity mumbo-jumbo. 8)

Did you see the out-take from that episode of Star Trek when after turning on the anti-anti-gravity device to simulate normal gravity, some joker from the props department pushes on an anti-anti-anti-gravity device and Riker and Picard start floating around. A good laugh was had by all!

I could have sworn we just had a thread about electrostatic lifters...

edit: I knew this was familiar. http://www.badastronomy.com/phpBB/viewtopic.php?t=12248

And that paper seems to be claiming that the B-2 Bomber uses antigravity technology. I find that rather hard to believe. It's not like the guys doing maintenance wouldn't say "Hey, what's this big humming black box for?".

Hmmm... I thought the Lifters were based on the NASA asymmetric capacitor thruster... As I understand it they are thrusters, not a gravity shielding/anti gravity device. The difference I guess, is that antigravity devices lessen gravity's hold on a craft, while thrusters push it... The Lifter capacitors do not just provide lift up or down the well, it can push something in any direction. It may prove a useful technology, as it doesn't need fuel, only electricity.

Now about anti gravity, I think the use of anti gravity/gravity shielding devices should be done very carefully, as they may be dangerous in use. Of course it's all fun and games until the low pressure area caused by the new antigrav trucks wrecks the neighborhood. Not to mention that it seems that gravity have some important function in keeping the universe itself together...

    And you get Electricity from?

Hmmm... You have a point there... You would have to get the energy from somewhere, so at some level you would have to have an energy source and fuel for it. But the thruster itself does not use the fuel, it uses the energy. A fueled thruster would use the fuel directly, like a rocket, a fuel less thruster uses it indirectly....
