Your brain is constantly looking for hits. Most of the time, it finds none, and the "event" goes unnoticed. But occasionally something happens -- the phone rings just after you had a feeling that your frail grandmother was ailing. The sad news arrives -- she has passed away. Aha! But what you have forgotten is that you have had this same feeling many times before. Without a "confirming" phone call, the feeling is quickly forgotten. Much superstitious silliness derives from this process of selectively remembering the hits and forgetting the misses.
In high school, we had a random number generator (hard-wired; these were the old days, before personal computers). As an experiment in physics class, we tried to influence its mean value by thinking as a group. It was a wonderful lesson in statistics, the interpretation of data, and the power of wishful thinking.
It would be, if it worked. But experiments have stubbornly refused to confirm what woophiles want to believe. Is this not a means to manifest reality as well?
Whether i agree with the OP has nothing to do with how you have willfully confused the difference in realism between the microscopic the macroscopic levels. My statement that its reasonable to say we create reality during qm measurement/observation is perfectly accurate. If one did not make a measurement the quantum state remains as an abstract. Its that simple. Now if you are actually arguing for a realist interpretation such as De Broglie/Bohmian mechanics just say so. Are you? Because if you are seriously suggesting that there is now some consensus for realist interpretations then you are deluding yourself.
As the OP appears to have abandoned his or her claim and wandered off, and that the current discussion is discussion another's posters claims, this thread will have to be closed. Starmountainkid, if you would like to return and defend your claims within the remaining time, please feel free to report this post and it'll be reopened for you.
