I would like to know how correcting someone's spelling of my name is a "flame".

I'm not sure how correcting others of the spelling is wrong in any way, or a "flame".

I've corrected others of their spelling of my name in public several times; how come it's only now I'm suddenly told that's improper? I've also been corrected in the past for the same thing.

Because there was already advice that the conversation between you and BigDon should'nt be in the thread. You should have reported any misgivings about his posts and he shouldn't have replied in the thread. This thread itself would maybe have been better as a report

Criminy Solus, you've got to learn to let things go! Know when to "water off a duck's back" something.

Captain stopped everything still in the fusing down state, as is part of his function here. Myself, *I* didn't take the spelling correction as a flame. It was a prefectly legitimate request as far as I saw. But the Captain's position is to stop trouble before it starts. I was going to actualy escalate the situation until the good Captain stepped in and made me realize I was the jerk.

You've got to relax Solus. you've been here long enough to know getting into a whizzing contest with the mods over something like this is purely self-destrutive. Go to the gym and work out whatever is frustrating you. I recommend a 45 minute full body routine. Honestly. You'll feel better. And I promise not to muck with you for at least a week. (Let's see, today's Saturday...)
