Needlepoint, soap-making, and butter-churning are all so old that I wouldn't want to pin a century to when they existed. (Most horseshoe-pitching sets I've seen have rubber horseshoes anyway.) I find BAUT perfectly satisfying, but it does not, frankly, do much for me as a creative outlet. So I sew or write or sing. The two are not mutually exclusive. I can even sing and post at the same time, should I feel so inclined.
