Are we talking about the football team and maybe something that happened in the NFL draft?
Or are we talking about aviation or maybe the gang from West Side Story?![]()

What?
. . . blah. I was going to try to rework the first few lines of "Maria" into "Kyle Wilson", but my muse must be on break.
If indeed the draft talk, I'll say I'm quite happy the Browns didn't waste their first pick on a QB. Not that we don't need one. Just that another first round pick isn't going to be the miracle cure. I'm glad they agree. Lots of picks left, lets see them bulk up that O-Line.
I thought maybe tommac was running his posts through the Bad Translator before posting them.

If this is about (American) football, could it please be merged with the other thread so I only have to remember to ignore one (American) football thread?

Yeah the Jets picked up a shut down cornerback to go along with their other 2 shut down cornerbacks. That means that they can play the receivers one on one. And send the rest of the team to either pressure/sack the qb or stop the run. In any case the jets D this year should be one of the best in the history of football.
Could result in loss of down and roughing the passer . . .
I smell a red herring![]()
The Jets have brought Red Herring out of retirement to do the color commentary for the coming season.
Red is best remembered for his comment in Super Bowl XIVD after William 'The Octopus' Branfield hauled in the winning touchdown on the low post with no time left. Noting that Branfield was a free agent for the coming season, Red was speculating on the size of his contract and said, "I'd sure like to be in his pants now." He corrected himself to say he meant 'shoes', but the damage was done.
Still, it'll be great to hear ol' Red's signature line, "HE'S GOT THE BALL! HE'S RUNNING WITH IT!"
Stopping short of a curt response ----> I didn't know that tommac had his own forum?
Interesting way of pitting persons against each other![]()
I think the first bit was about noticing his signature, the other was about the capitalization comment.
