Never really that fussy about eating anything but eggs or maybe fish as a kid. I probably get killed for not eating veg around here, grandfather was an expert gardner so our veg was probably a bit fresher durng the summer so probably a bit tastier.

My mother has a vegetable garden every summer. It doesn't help.

Burger King releasing thier "summer menu" with a bacon sundae. Which goes right along with thier new "go healthy" plan.
If these "strange unhealthy concoctions" are popular enough for large chains to adopt, then we are in trouble with people's self control.
It's one thing if it's in a specialty restaurant, or in context of being an exception like carnival food, but a mainstream chain?
Compared to some of the monstrous concoctions in this thread, a sundae with some bacon on it isn't that horrible. I don't want one, but whatever...
Bacon is all the rage in haute cuisine right now, especialyl bacon and chocolate. Unless there's a huge amount of bacon in it, it shouldn't be inordinately unhealthy.
Et tu BAUT? Quantum mutatus ab illo.
A bacon sundae sounds likely to be due to the current meme more than anything else. I wouldn't be surprised if the sundae didn't last too long, but then I've never gotten the whole bacon meme so what do I know.
I like bacon quite a lot, but I don't like bacon-flavoured things.

Well, it's being advertised as "limited time only," so you're probably right.
FWIW, the bacon sundae doesn't seem to really be any more unhealthy than their Oreo brownie sundae (other than the high sodium content), so I don't really get what the big deal is.
At any rate, I have a hard time getting too worked up about what other people eat.
Especially those bits of soy in a jar they try to pass off as bacon bits.
I love bacon too. My issue is that some things don't go with "sweet" and some things have to go with "sweet".
For instance, cinnamon. I once had cinnamon chicken. Nope, cinnamon without sweet just doesn't cut it for me.

If you get spaghetti at a Greek restaurant it sometimes has things like cinnamon and nutmeg in the sauce. It's actually quite good that way.

Cinnamon, nutmeg, and so forth have only recently been considered "dessert" spices.

Rolled in...
Yep, it was the only spice, and that is probably why it was horrible to me.
This was one of those "magazine" recipes. Either there were enough people that liked it, or it was one of those tastes that becomes "fashionable" to like.
I don't even know if my ex prepared it right. But we never had it again because she didn't like it either.
A single Wendy's had a special burger called the T-Rex.
The corporation made them pull it.
Even though the sandwich kind of fits this thread, I don't see why corporations don't allow at least a little local flair as long as they don't overdo it.
Also; this might actually be a good sandwich as a family meal. Gives you burgers without all that bread.
What their ad looked like...
But; after seeing what one really looks like, I may have second thoughts.
There's some major, and not very good, photo-shoppery going on in that ad!
