She has several threads going on over there. First we were up, then down, then stopped, then backwards, now this. She has never been able to escape the fact that when polar aligning telescopes, polaris is the guide star(yea I know 1/2 degree off, align scopes compensate for this) so she now tries to say Polaris is wobbling. ](*,)
Oh dear! Someone needs to tell these folks that Polaris is not precisely centered on the North Celestial Pole. Of course it's going to move a bit. They're also claiming that the Sun is not setting at the right time, that Venus is in the wrong spot and that poor Orion's "slant" is not correct. They must be looking at a different sky than I am. Everything is right where it's supposed to be.Originally Posted by Drakheim

Drakheim, you have a stronger constitution than I do to keep reading this stuff! It's good for some chuckles but I quickly get queasy. Not to be read after a heavy lunch.

I can’t help myself though. I feel a strong need to go and scream and rant and rave at the.... lack of intelligence of some of those people, but then I would be no better than they are. So I hope to try and sway the fence straddler’s by posting facts there.
Call it my good deed of the week![]()
Hey now, you now you can't post facts there, you instantly get labled a debunker, and become the object of much ridicule.![]()
Very seldom do I ever post on a Nancy thread. I usually say what I need to say, then ignore her. It goes in one ear and out the other. I tried to explain to her about how to use an equatorial mount and the process of polar alignment. She got to the point where she started calling me a liar and demanding my name so she could see if I was an government employee. 8)
