    Super Bowl XLIV

I am not much interested in sports - with the exceptions of Olympic Games, Soccer Worldcup, and Super Bowl.
I choose the team I root for simply by how much I like the city they represent or geographical closeness.
I know the colts are favored - whoever has a Manning in the team probably is
But I root for the saints regardless.
I hope for a close call - like 24:21 in OT or the like.
    And you?

Heh, I consider that poll invalid. There needs to be two more options: "Commercials" and "Planet X".

The only reason I voted for the Saints is because the only less likely names for sports teams are the Los Angeles Lakers and the Utah Jazz.

The Lakers made more sense when they lived in Minnesota, and the Jazz was more appropriate when they were in New Orleans. And speaking of jazz, I presume the Saints nickname comes from "When the Saints Go Marching In."

Having lived in (well, 20-min away) New Orleans, I do favor the Saints! However, I think the Colts will take it.

Hey, offhand: who's televising the SB anyway, and does anybody know if they're streaming it?

[Edit: Nevermind, I may have it courtesy superbowl.com. Maybe. Not sure if this is a pre-planned clip or live coverage of the pre-game stuff.]

    [Edit 2: Clips. Foiled again.]

Well, I certainly hope all Americans do their patriotic duty and run out first thing tomorrow morning and buy all those wonderful and important products all those expensive ads promote.

The game is on live here in Germany on a commercial free (= license) station. It's fun to watch the players standing around picking their whatevers while waiting for the ads to finish so they can continue with the game.

A touchdown for The Colts and a field goal for The Saints in the last three minutes would make me correct.

Good game. Congrats to the Saints - I really didn't expect them to be able to hold off the Colts offense as well as they did.
Everything I need to know I learned through Googling.

Opening the second half with an on side and pulling it off... The football poets are going to have a LOT of fun with this year's game, and deservedly so. It was one of the most interesting Super Bowls in a while.
