    Smile Anyone into trance? Recommendations?

Well, it's a conflict of nurture.

Despite my classical training I still love trance music. Not just any old trance music though. I'm into what I call "melodic trance". The kind of trance that has some intelligence to it, some vocals, some structure, some development, some recapitulation. Is anyone else here a melodic trance fanatic? Please give me some recommendations to listen to!

Off the top of my head, my suggestions are

    Paul Oakenfold - Gamemaster
    DJ Tiesto - Just Be
    TyDi - Amazing
Orion - Eternity (Darren Tate Remix)
Above & Beyond - Can't Sleep (Tri State Edit)
    Energy 52 - Cafe Del Mar (Paul Oakenfold 3 n 1 Remix)
Duderstadt & Kirsty Hawkshaw - Beautitude (Duderstadt Uplifting Mash Up)
Motorcycle - As The Rush Comes
Liquid Child - Diving Faces (Tom Wax & Jakarta Mix)

    PLUR. Over to you.

I'm not into trance music much, but I don't really think that having classical training necessarily stops you from being able to enjoy other kinds of music, even those that might be considered "inferior" by purists.
    As above, so below

You should probably check out The Seduction Of Claude Debussy by The Art Of Noise. Bits of almost everything on there, including opera over drum and bass. It's patchy and experimental, but when it works it really works, and parts of it fit all of your criteria.

Have a look on YouTube for 'Ayla Taucher Remix' - as the blurb says, no description necessary.

    Thanks, I'll check them out!

Yes Bobbar, some of Infected Mushroom is ok to my ears but mostly it sounds like Goan trance trying too hard.

    My two current favorites:

    ATB: "Beautiful Worlds"
