Thanks for the post. I had great hopes for the Vixen when I first got it but I ran into some issues. I found out once the scope was on the mount and tripod I had a hard time moving it in and out of my house. ( I know what a lame excuse) I could take it apart and refit it every time I wanted to image/veiw but by the time got home from work at night the ext 125 seemed like the right choice.
The other issue is my health. I have asthma and non diabetes nurophathy both are under control most of the time. This last winter I some how reinjuried an old neck injury which has effected my breathing and my diaphram, this has me scared but we are working on it.
Many years ago I used to road race motorcycles, my brother and I had sevreal bikes that we raced. We had a A1 100 kaw and a twin 350 A7 avenger both were and still are classic road racing class bikes, the other bike was a RC enginering bulit 750 kaw. It was the fastest bike I ever road.
I was in a very bad crash which broke me up pretty bad. The neck injury was the worst of the lot. My #2 and #3 verteba were damaged and the nerves in that part of the spine were pinched. And now it seems I am dealing with the same problems I had before. I got some wheels coming from Mr. Clayton at Roller Wheels. This will help alot, also I just got layed off from my job so I am going to take the summer off and learn this scope. When the weather will let me, all it does here is rain. I know this is more info then you need, I guess I like to talk. Take care and clear skies to you and yours Paul.
