Hi, gzhpcu -

I started giving away the three surviving puppies when they were eight weeks old. Coa-coa, the one with light eyebrows and trim, was first to go, Then, the children brought her back, a week or so later. Their grandmother wouldn't let them keep her.
So, as the children walked away from my front door, I opened the screen and let Coa-Coa in. She-She was right there. "Ah", I thought, "she'll welcome home her puppy."

Noooo...She-She growled a growl I'd never heard before, and Coa-coa stopped in her tracks. OK, I can read dog or people 'body English'. Coa-Coa's back on the porch and I shut the door.

Hopefully, some other neighborhood children took her in, never saw her again.

The black puppy you can barely see, was 'Number three puppy" and I took her to Humane Society to be adopted. Puppies are adorable, so I have a good hope she has a good home.

Now, Number two puppy, I had trouble placing. He survived handling by Buffy. However, at thirteen weeks, he died at home, loved by me and She-She. Since he may have died anyway, it's best he died here, his only little world, rather than breaking a new family's heart.

Like I intiminated, I gave Buffy to the Animal control. I could have only three dogs, and Spike made four. I had to put Buffy on a chain, to keep her from jumping over the fence; and the city had changed their law from keeping dogs chained in yards to thous shalt not chain thy dog in thy yard. Phhhffft.
So, Animal control had responded to County Hosp report of my being dog bit, the day before. That's when I broke up a fight because She-She was protecting her puppies from Buffy, who was trying to kill them and had killed three. So, anyway, Animal control could give me two tickets, on the spot. I surrendered Buffy, who went quietly and docilely, to the officer. I can only hope and pray, Buffy was taken in my a family because she's a personable dog and I loved her.

There, that's the story on how we went from six puppies and four dogs, to three puppies and three dogs, to three dogs. Whew!
