I have been giving astronomy talks to my grand son's kindergarden class for the past few months. It's been great fun. The kids love spinning around as planets, mushing together to model the atoms in the Sun making heat, holding hands and whirling around to demonstrate center of gravity and so on.
Each time I'm there, there is another "parent assistant", Joe, there. He always does a good job of helping control the kids, translating their questions into adult language and so-forth. This last time we both had some idle time while waiting for the kids to arrive and he asked about the verasity of the "Apollo Hoax". By his tone, I knew he was expecting me to agree that we had not gone to the Moon. He acted quite surprised when I told him the hoax was a hoax. We got into why the MH croud was wrong and I could tell he was listening but skeptical. As the kids came in I suggested he come here to read TBA's rebuttal and gave him the URL on a scrap of paper.
I did my talk and had the kids use themselves to model the Jupiter & Saturn systems. I didn't notice Joe was missing until he came back at the end of my talk. Apparently, he had gone to the class room and used the computer to read TBA's rebuttal while I did my thing. He was completely sold that the Hoax Believers where a bunch of "Looney Tunes" and kept thanking me for setting him straight.
So I say to THE BAD ASTRONOMER, thank you for setting Joe straight. It was a small step for TBA, a giant leap for mankind. :) :D  =D>
