It's a common college phrase based on hunting... to chase some tail. I didn't "popularize" the phrase, I just thought it immediately. I do have some rather crude friends and actually heard it last night; This is actually one of their nicer sayings.

To be clear, I am not condoning the use of this slang, nor do I use it in this fashion, but I wouldn't be playing fair if I didn't reply with the first thing that came to mind. I don't mean to offend.
