Flax oil or flaxseed oil as a "dietary supplement" sounds like it has some rather remarkable health benefits. "Flaxseed oil and flaxseed contain substances that promote good health." (http://www.umm.edu/altmed/articles/flaxseed-oil-000304.htm#Supporting%20Research) This doesn't appear to be just "healthfood hype." Does anybody here know anything about this?

It's certainly good for you if your diet is lacking in Omega-3 fatty acids. Of course if you're already getting all you need flax oil won't do you any good. The list of benefits is more a list of benefits of a healthy diet. Never drunk the stuff myself. We used to use it on our cricket bats. And another boy and I used to rub it on the school cormorant.

If you are going to eat a diet low in omega-3's you should fully charge your flax capacitators beforehand.

I take linseed oil capsules. I burst them and it doesn't taste of much, just oil.

Just in case there is any confusion flax oil and linseed oil are the same thing. Of course we always called it linseed oil. That's what our school smelled like, linseed oil and cabbage. And well oiled cormorant.

So you're drinking paint, less the pigment.
