Hehe. Been trying to buy a regular Rubik's cube for about two weeks. Spent close to forty dollars in gasoline costs driving from here to there. Every last place I went to was sold out. I'd even call ahead, and was told they were in stock, only to find out this is not the case after I arrive. Either there's been a run on cubes, lately, or they always sell out quickly. Every place within convenient driving distance was SOLD OUT. Well, a buddy of mine who happened to have two heard of my plight, and graciously allowed me to buy one at a reasonable rate.
I got my cube!
... Now for the fun part: Memorizing algorithms. My nerd meter's peaking.

Is there a rubik type program where I can punch in conditions and have it cook up an algorithm? I'm trying to do it all in my head, but am having trouble. There's a lot that'll *solve* a cube, but I have a different way kinda figured out, and need to run some calculations.

Or, just possibly, they couldn't be bothered to check & were dishonest on the off-chance you'd visit the store & buy something anyway [/cynicism]:D

I'm sure that's the case. Kinda burned me, too. Gas ain't cheap these days.
