This is a word game I thought up many years ago. I don't know if it has a name, or even if it already exists. You have a person say a quotation, but there's something in the explanation that makes it strange. Here are a couple of examples.
"There was apparently a bomb on board," he explained.
"I hit the jackpot a second time," he said reluctantly.
Are these a bit too cryptic? Can others think up new ones.
