I was recently in Hawaii and was taking pictures each morning of the moon setting over the mountain. This was taking place each day at apx 4:30am hawaii time. My last morning (April 2) the moon set almost an hour later. Can anyone tell me why???
Thanks - Cristi

Perhaps the mountain was more and more in the way each morning,
until the last morning, when it was less in the way. I don't
know which island you were on or which mountain you were looking
over, but Mauna Kea is west-northwest of Hilo, so here are the
moonset times for Hilo, Hawaii. Hawaii-Aleutian Standard Time.

Now can you tell us why moonset was about 30 minutes later each
morning, or do you want one of us to tell you?
