View Full Version : Which one?

If you were limited to three choices, which would you choose as your SO, and why?

Lois Griffin (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Image:Lois_griffin.jpg)

Peggy Bundy (http://www.albundy.net/peg_pics/peggy2.jpg)

Turanga Leela (http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/en/thumb/e/e1/Leela.png/250px-Leela.png)

Acknowledged that these are cartoon or cartoonish characters, but, if stuck in a show with all three, which would you choose?

PS: Katey Sagal fan here.

Leela. Really, she's the only smart character. (Well, comparatively, anyway)

And her laser eye surgery will be less expensive later in life.

None of the above?

None of the above?Aw, come on, Gillian.

That's not a response within the poll parameters.

If attracted to the opposite sex, which one would it be?

It doesn't really have anything to do with attraction, exactly; it's more a personality conflict. I'd come closest to Leela, because I think I'd be most likely to be able to have a conversation with her (and she's neither happily married nor skeezy and possibly disease-ridden). She's also in the best shape. But I couldn't deal with her for long enough to have a serious relationship regardless of how attracted I am or am not toward other women!

I voted for Peg Bundy, just because it is the only one of the choices I've ever heard of; as well as the least cartoonish of the three.

Of course Leela is voiced by the same actress that played Peg; you must really like Katey Sagal, Mac (actually I do too). By the way, why do you have Leela's name as Turanga Leela, is she from Bajor?

I voted for Lois, I think she's the most fun, plus I have a thing for lounge singers and Rhode Island.

That's her full name. They rarely say it, but they do in a few eps.
I'm not voting, I don't like any of the choices. Altho Lois' inheretance would be nice :-P

Slightly off topic, but I didn't get to see the end of the new Family Guy yesterday (or simpsons) because I had them set to record and rediculous NASCAR ran over by like 10 minutes (and god forbid fox cut some of the 20 minutes worth of commercials they have per 30 minute timespot). Since my DVR records strickly by show time (ie 8:00-8:30) approx the last 7 minutes of each show got cut off :(

I was ticked earlier when a play-off football game caused the same thing, but NASCAR? Come on! Coincidentally, anyone know a good website with a mail-bomb blueprint? ;) J/k

Skeezy?

Sorry; I do tend to forget that about twelve people on Earth know what that word means.

"Skeezy" is part sleazy, part dirty, part . . . hard to define. It appears most frequently (in the circle of friends I had that used it) in the phrase "skeezy heroin addict," but drug addiction isn't necessarily part of it--though an addictive personality does help. There's a certain disregard for one's own person implied.

About a dozen years ago (I can't believe it's that long!) I was at

I identified it online as "The Trial of Cotterpin Doozer". I'm in
love with Cotterpin Doozer.

A movie pops into mind where a man exclaims, "You bit me you skeez!!"
But I can't remember what movie at the moment...

Skanky + sleazy = skeezy.

Yes, but the meaning's slightly different. Still, it's close enough.

Isn't much for looks, is she? I think there's also a size incompatability.

A slight one--Fraggles only come up to about knee-height on a human, and Doozers are correspondingly small to Fraggles.

Jeff Root

Gillian,

My impression was that Doozers are even smaller compared to
Fraggles than Fraggles are to Humans. Small enough to ride a
mouse like a horse, perhaps, though I know they're technologically
advanced, using (motorized?) tricycles for transport.

Did you happen to see the episode I saw, "The Trial of Cotterpin
Doozer"? Are you familiar with the character? I don't know if she
came across as such a sympathetic and attractive protaganist in
other episodes where she wasn't the central character.

I haven't seen any Fraggle Rock in quite some time, but I do remember and like the character--better, in fact, than I like several of the major characters.

I picked Peg Bundy.

Lois is my mother's name and that would be too weird, plus I never cared for the Family Guy.

The one-eyed Leela wouldn't work, because I do a lot of outdoor activities and that loss of depth perception would make things worse.

She wheezes
Say "housework" and he freezes
She eats these skeezy cheeses that I can't describe...
