If this was posted before I missed it. It's too cool to miss.

Well, I don't know if this exact one was posted, but I've seen various variations of it. Most recently here. (http://www.bautforum.com/showthread.php?t=54935) (which, in my opinion is much better and clearer)

At one point, I was working on a similar thing all the way to the largest star known.
Of course, I tried ot make it prettier, so I added a big, infinite black plane so star shine would look cooler, and also because it makes everything look like little, tiny marbles in the end (and hey, isn't that the whole point of showing the scales here?)
But it didn't quite work. I never got good-looking stars and never managed to make the texts with the names work. Also, all the other versions that showed up made it not so much fun anymore.
See attachment for an older preview of how it looked like. I have some other stuff on it if anyone's interested...

Jumping from one order of magnitude to the next like that... Yeow.
No matter how many times I read the numbers, visual references like that always kick my brain's butt.

Yeah, a page similar to that on Rense.com (the ONLY reason I'd recommend the site) had a series of pictures that had a friend of mine who's not a real science geek's jaw on the floor.
