Hi All,

Paul Campbell was complaining about the cold in Washington Pa.
I had to practically crawl through the dew on the grass to take this shot of a waning moon. It was still too low on the horizon for comfort but I wanted to catch it before dawn. Why do we do this to ourselves? :wall:
What I like about using a low power eyepiece (25mm Plossl on my 9"Dob) is the fact that I get the whole moon in the frame and therefore in one afocal image.
I used Microsoft Picture-It to adjust the brightness, sharpness and contrast and Noiseware to clean up the image.

Because of the large aperture of the scope, enough photons are collected so that one can zoom in on certain features such as crater Copernicus and the Carpathians
