I would like to propose a game about cause and effect. It is purely physics. I will pose the first question and answer it myself so you can all get a feel of it. I think it would be interesting to see how far the forum members can go with this.
It is simple. I will give the original effect, and say what I think is the cause. Then another forum member can post by saying what they think is the cause of that, and perhaps a short description of why they think so, or they can give a different cause for the original effect. Then that cause becomes the effect. Whatever the answer, the forum members must see if they can identify the cause. It doesn't have to be in any particular order. There can be many causes for the same effect. Each forum member can take any of the causes or effects given so far and write what they think is the cause of that, or answer differently to an effect that was already stated. It may form a linear cause and effect chain, or perhaps some sort of pyramid or hierarchy. If we're lucky, we may even find the cause of all effects in the universe. Wouldn't that be something?
Okay. So here's the first effect. Time. What causes time? Time is a measurement of distance travelled as compared to something else. It is a ratio of how much further something goes than something else, or rotates, or revolves, or changes. Or it could be over the time squared, which is acceleration. It has no real meaning otherwise. It is a concept. So where does this concept come from? What causes it to manifest? Motion. So time is the effect of motion. Without motion, there would be no time.
Now someone else can play off of motion as the effect and post what they believe is its cause, or if they disagree with the answer, they can post a different cause for time. Enjoy! :D
