Another news story. Some new findings suggest that the first bout of star formation may have been fast and furious. Stars may have started forming everywhere at once, filling the skies quickly.

No, the Sun is about a 3rd generation star. The first stars would've arrived about 12 or 13 billion years ago. Our star is only abour 5 billion years old.
