Well folks, looks like NASA decided to hang up the headphones on Pioneer 10. The signal has gotten too faint to listen to accurately. Let's just hope that some civ out there picks it up before it gets destroyed!

Hi,
I've wondered for a few years... when did Voyager overtake Pioneer 10 to be the furthest man made object out there?

ToSeek,
thanks for that, it had been bugging me for years. Was it simply due to bigger faster initial boosters, or better planetary slingshotting?
Do you know?
Thanks again
