I have on NASA TV now, watching the countdown for launch.
It's now at T-minus 40 minutes, cryogenic fueling is almost complete.
There's talk about the wind gusts. I hope they don't interfer with the launch.
Anyway, quite cool watching this historic mission about to get underway.
Anyone else following it live?

I'm watching it right now too. I think almost every body here is watching it.

Now at T-minus 25 minutes (if I heard right).
Do you know if the entire rocket, aside from the boosters, are fueled by liquid hydrogen and liquid oxygen? Or is it just the Centuar stage?

Four minutes to launch and holding for ten minutes.
The suspense is high!

To avoid double threads, I refer to the New Horizons countdown thread in the spacce exploration forum, where exactly the same conversation is going on :).

Oops. Did I double post this topic then, Nicolas?
Winds are being assessed. New T-zero is at 2:10pm EST.

Is there a way for me to lock this thread, since there's an existing thread for this? The other one is better anyway.
