Make sure you click "Remember Me" when you first log in. That should keep you connected to the forum until you feel the need to log out.

i couldnt type anything that took longer than 30 sec-a minute or it would say i wasnt logged in and my post would vanish into the ether

funny thing it works ok without the tick in firefox but not in opera

i prefer opera(mostly cause ive used it since around 2001) i find firefox a little `busy'

hmm .. noticed the same thing Boppa mentioned with IE. I usually copied my text so I didn't lose it after composing a lengthy post, but had to log back in. I have Firefox and will give her a whirl next time I get long-winded (which is often :)) and will try the "remember me" option when using IE.
