I thought you guys would get a kick out of this. It was on the (usually)Monthly Dilbert Newsletter (love the comic and the very short lived t.v. show)


A Sign over the office drinking fountain:


"Do not pour anything into the
fountain. It blocks the water
filter and reduces the water
pressure."

It was on the Engineering floor and -- God help us -- we make
helicopters.

I sure hope someone changed the filter occasionally...

I think a few people here may not have heard of the companion to read-only memory, the write-only memory chip (http://info.astrian.net/jargon/terms/w/write-only_memory.html).

This site (http://www.ganssle.com/misc/wom.html) has photos of the two page ad taken out for it way back in 1972. (The ad's the best bit.)
