My girlfriend asked me to post a message about this. Anyways, a few of her questions are:
1) What are some of the ways we can view them?
2) What kind of evidence supports the existance of black holes?

This is all she has to ask for now, but if she thinks of any more, I'll post 'em under this topic. She doesn't need the physics of 'em, just a general idea of how we know they exist and ways we can see 'em. (This is for a paper she has to write for her college english class.) Thanks a bunch, everybody.

College English classes are requiring students to write papers on black holes? How interesting!

How about I refer you to this (http://casswww.ucsd.edu/public/tutorial/GR.html) site?

Hahaha. No, she chose the topic herself. But, thanks for the info.
