Hi again folks, This may seem like a silly question to those in the know, but is tit possible to purchase an atttachment that will record what is seen through a pair of binoculars?

I am sure somewhere there are some dedicated gizmos to achieve exactly what you are asking for but what stops you hand holding a digital camera to one eye piece and sighting through the other?

I can't pick up Deep Space Objects like this but I got a picture or two of Mars close to the Moon last September using my 7 x50s. Tiny but the wide field of view allows nice sights to be captured.

Binoculars need to be mounted or steadied of course.

I was hoping to do the same with Venus and the moon-see Fraser's headline story in UT-but -of course- :( -clouds- last night

Of course this is not serious astro photography but just a bit of fun

See http://store.yahoo.com/eenidmarket/noca-42.html concerning an adapter for mating a camera to a binocular.

Binoculars with built-in camera are also available - http://bizrate.lycos.com/buy/products__cat...r%20Camera.html (http://bizrate.lycos.com/buy/products__cat_id--12180000,keyword--Binocular%20Camera.html)
