I am wondering if it is possible to be able to obtain details of a simulation if the sun were to have a mega flare, how much of a flare would cause trouble for earth?

Mega flare... hmm I would said like 30% will cause trouble on earth, such as interupt the radio signal, slow down the spacecraft and climate... that's what we call it the "Little Ice Age"

I remember once watching the program 'the Outer Limits' that had a very graphic portrayal of the Earth being fried by a massive Megaflare - what distace away would be required for this event?
