With my brand spanking new Vixen LV 4mm eyepiece arriving in the next couple of days, I should be able to push my 4.5" reflector to its theoretical limit.
What are some suitable southern DSO to observe with this sort of equipment?

Kashi, I found some links that provide various lists of DSO's

http://home.mira.net/~reynella/skywatch/ssky.htm - very blah, but has a great list near the bottom of the page, including:

I hope this helps

What is a DSO? Does that mean visual double stars?

DSO is the acronym for Deep Sky Object, such as a galaxy or nebula, I believe.

Thanks, it's time I start looking at the skies with a telescope as well.
Happy hunting.
