Split-Ring Mount Plans?

I have just purchased a used Starhopper 11 inch. While I'm using this instrument I'd like to build a truss-tube with split-ring mounting. Does anyone know where I can find some plans for the split-ring mount? The internet sites I've checked are not sufficiently detailed.
