Okay, I admit, I haven't even looked to see if the following website has been promoted on Universe Today already, but, well... a work associate of mine showed me the following, and I thought I'd send it along as something every Universe Today reader might enjoy.
Auroral Activity Extrapolated from NOAA POES
http://www.sec.noaa.gov/pmap/
Updated quite regularly, apparently.
On another note entirely... I wanted to put forth an observation I've made in regards to all the recent solar and aurora activity. Does anyone else find it odd that literally just before Disney put out its animated feature Brother Bear (which features a big part of aurora activity in it) we had all the solar and aurora activity?
Disney Magic, perhaps?
