how do you create a poll in the forums?

Only the moderators can create Polls right now. My experience with other forums is that Polls seem to just take over the forum so that every second thread is a Poll. I wanted to avoid that, so I'm restricting the polls; however, if you want one, give your idea to Kashi or Josh and they might like the idea enough to put it up.

But Fraiser, isn't my favoritte planet or moon string a poll.
I sort of thought it was, with the additional oppertunity to add one's own comments too.
I might add it's one of the friendliest forum strings going as well.

It's a fine line between poll and conversation. I'd prefer conversations and avoid the voting. If I need to make decisions based on the opinions on my readers than I'll probably do a poll. "Should I add this feature?", etc.
