View Full Version : Darren Grayson´s Apollo Explorer website

Darren´s website is pretty new. The domain apolloexplorer.co.uk is registered as late as March 11, 2002.

Most people know about Kipp Teague´s "Apollo Archive", but I have the feeling that only few know about Darren Grayson´s "Apollo Explorer". So ... here it is:

"Inside this site you'll find lots and lots of information, photos, videos and diagrams from NASA's moon landing programme, Project Apollo. There's also lots of material from the Mercury, Gemini, Skylab and Apollo-Soyuz projects."

"There's over 600Mb of information on this web site. Some of it, such as the videos and high-resolution photos, are targeted at visitors with broadband connections (such as ADSL)."

I concur.

The on-line book section is much better than NASA's.

Umm, the site is all well a good, but did anybody look at the "Amazon Recommends" box at the bottom of the page?

"Dark Moon" is one of the recommended books!!!! Apparently it cycles with other "moon" books so it doesn't show up all the time.

Ooooops.

Why oh why did i have to read the customers reviews for Dark Moon on Amazon.com...

::shudders::

Three people gave it FIVE stars and one gave it Four stars.

Thank goodness five people gave it ONE star, lol. And their reviews were a hoot to read... /phpBB/images/smiles/icon_smile.gif

I would have given it zero stars if that had been allowed.

I wish amazon had a zero stars rating. When a book is really awful, I just say something like "if I could give this book zero stars, I would"

When it comes to Apollo there's nothing that beats ALSJ. Nothing.

Thanks for the links. I find myself in the unfortunate position of having to recreate all my bookmarks. I had them at work, and when I was layed off I managed somehow not to copy them over. *sigh*
