Although this is an oldie, it's still good especially the banter between the two main characters!

Has anyone seen the film and do they have any views on the science behind it?

Also does the (from all accounts bad) film The Scorcher have any connection with it?

It a long time ago I saw it the last time, but I like it very much, though there is plenty of bad astronomy in it, I'm sure. But it has an interesting story and good characters.

I was looking through the sci-fi movies at Hollywood Video the other day and I noticed that one. I think it's a relatively recent addition to the collection as I don't recall seeing it before. But they've been adding movies, both new and to their library of older stuff.
